Our Texas Pest Control Courses are designed to help agricultural private, commercial and noncommercial applicators satisfy their continuing education training needs.  In addition, we also have Texas Pest Control Courses designed to provide the continuing education training required for structural certified applicators technicians and apprentices.  Note: As of 2018, Structural Certified Applicators may now obtain their continuing education training via online education classes on an every other year basis (once every 2 years) and will receive credit for completing one of our online structural continuing education courses.  If you have questions, please Call Us Now! 682-233-1599.  We are here to help, and we love to answer your questions.

Private Applicator – 15 CEUs                

A Private Applicator must obtain at least 15 CEUs prior to renewing his license.  This must include at least 2 CEUs in Laws & Regulations and 2 CEUs in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).  Up to 10 CEUs may be obtained via an online or correspondence course.

Commercial and NonCommercial Applicators – 5 CEUs

An Agricultural Commercial or NonCommercial Applicator must obtain 5 CEUs prior to renewing his license.  A minimum of 1 CEU each must come from at least two of the following categories: Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Laws & Regulations, and Drift Minimization.  A Commercial or NonCommercial Applicator may only recertify his license via an online course on an every other year basis (once every two years).

Structural Commercial and NonCommercial Applicators 

*Attention: Structural Commercial and NonCommercial Applicators may now receive their continuing education training via online classes on an every other year basis (once every 2 years).

Structural Technician – 8 CEUs

A Structural Technician must complete 8 hours of training during the calendar year (January 1 – December 31) preceding the date of his license renewal.  A technician will receive hour for hour credit if a department approved continuing education course is completed.  Online Classes are allowed to recertify a Technician license.

Structural Apprentice – 20 General classroom hours, 8 classroom hours in Each Category , and 40 Hours on-the-job training in Each Category in which the apprentice is to provide pest control services.

Upon completion and documentation of the required study and on the job training and demonstrating competency in each area, the apprentice may work alone provided a certified applicator is physically present for personal instruction 3 days per week.  The studies and job training required before an apprentice may work alone are as follows:

(1) complete at least two hours of classroom training in each of the following subjects: (A) federal and state laws that regulate the industry; (B) recognition of pests and pest damage; (C) pesticide labels and label comprehension; (D) pesticide safety; (E) environmental protection; (F) application equipment and techniques; (G) pesticide formulations and actions; (H) emergency procedures, pesticide cleanup and procedures for immediate reporting of spills and misapplication; (I) basic principles of mathematics, chemistry, toxicology and entomology; and (J) nonchemical pest control techniques, including biological, mechanical and integrated pest management techniques. (Classified as 20 Hours General classroom training)

(2) Complete at least 40 hours of verifiable on-the-job training and 8 hours classroom training in each category in which the apprentice is to provide pest control services.

* The responsible certified applicator must maintain the verifiable training records and certification for each apprentice in the business files.  These are to be kept at least 2 years from the training or certification date.*
